What first got you into riding?
I started racing when I was 13 and then soon after started riding trails and street.

Out of all your video parts, web edits etc, do you have a favourite clip ever?
I’m still really psyched on my ender clip for the Metal Faded Glory video. Icepick on a long flat rail to hop up a 3 stair.

What’s an average day in the life of Ryan Metro like?
It’s been so different this year since I have been hurt off and on for about 5 months consecutively now. The days really depend on how my body feels. Regardless of that I try to spend as much time as possible daily with my friends and people I love to be around.

If you had to choose one spot to ride for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Kelly Bakers trails. That place is so much fun and anything goes.

What’s the best thing about where you currently live?
All of my friends and family.

What’s the worst thing about where you currently live?
The humidity in the summer time.

What was the first contest you rode in, and where did you place?
Red Bull used to throw contests at the Louisville skatepark and I entered a best trick contest and ended up winning it, haha!

What was your bike set up and clothing of choice at the time?
It was a hand-me-down Metal Kizz frame with the works, probably a 44/16 gear ratio, triple walled rims, probably a seat clamp with two bolts on it and brakes.

What is your favourite and least favourite BMX related fad?
Favourite fad would probably be…Well, come to think of it I really can’t think of a favorite fad in BMX… Least favorite isn’t a problem though. Girls jeans with super wide handle bars and a slammed seat post with neon parts.

If you could be ‘pro’ in any other sport what would it be and why?
Pro Golfer, I have been golfing a lot this year and i find it really enjoyable, relaxing and challenging. Nothing better than being out on a golf course in the a.m hours on a nice day.

Do you have any specific rituals or things you do before doing tricks / things you are scared of?
I may pick my lip when im nervous about something.

What was the scariest thing you ever done on your bike?
Trying to do a back flip into a foam pit a few years back was pretty scary.

Outside of BMX, what is your favourite way to waste time?
Golfing at the moment.

BMW M3.
