What first got you into riding?
That’s just what a lot of my friends were doing at the time. It looked fun so I just started riding around with them and it grew from there.

Out of all your video parts, web edits etc, do you have a favourite clip ever?
Haha, I don’t even know.

What’s an average day in the life of Nathan Williams like?
Wake up, coffee, chill around the house for a bit with my girl, call the boys and get a plan together to go ride. Right now it’s cold so most days that plan is just the indoor skatepark by my house. Then just come home and chill for a bit, then go out for a drink.

If you had to choose one spot to ride for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
That’s a tough one, any sort of rail set up would be ideal.

What’s the best thing about where you currently live?
Good friends and family.

What’s the worst thing about where you currently live?
The freezing cold.

What was the first contest you rode in, and where did you place?
The first real contest I rode in was Rebel Jam 08 I believe. I did terribleeeeee. Probably dead last.

What was your bike set up and clothing of choice at the time?
Brakeless 40 frame, 2 pegs… clothes? don’t know. Shirts were a bit smaller back then.

What is your favourite and least favourite BMX related fad?
Best= no brakes. Worst= chainless.

If you could be ‘pro’ in any other sport what would it be and why?
Baseball player. I played baseball for 6 or 7 years when I was a kid. I loved it.

Do you have any specific rituals or things you do before doing tricks / things you are scared of?
I’ve learned for me, whether it’s something big for me or something I know will take me a while I try to just not think about it very much. Then there is no expectations going into it.

What was the scariest thing you ever done on your bike?
First thing that comes to mind is the ledge handicap hop to grind down the ledge in my United part. It was the first L hop set up I had really rode since the one I crashed and hit my face on a while back. I could see it in my head so I just figured I would try. Luckily it ended up working out. That’s that last one I’ve done that I can remember too.

Outside of BMX, what is your favourite way to waste time?
Going out and doing anything with the lady is always super fun. Other then that, Call of Duty, Skating, Chillin with friends… just normal stuff I guess.

Favorite Vehicle?
Right now my 83 VW Rabbit. Unfortunately the engine just seized up so it’s out of commission right now.
